HomeschoolED Heroes is thrilled to announce that we are hosting our first Children's Business Fair, sponsored by the Acton Children's Business Fair, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Norfolk, VA! This event promises to be a transformative experience for young entrepreneurs, families, and the greater homeschooling community.
Our mission has always been to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders, problem solvers, and creators. Hosting this fair is a significant step forward in making that mission a reality. We are honored to partner with Curriculum Agents LLC to create an event that goes beyond the traditional business fair by introducing a series of workshops, mentoring programs, and collaborative opportunities for our young participants.
Why This Business Fair Is Different
This isn’t just a one-day event. It's the culmination of months of preparation, learning, and collaboration between children, families, and local businesses. Through this initiative, HomeschoolED Heroes is breaking new ground in the homeschooling world by offering:
Learning Workshops: Leading up to the fair, children will participate in hands-on workshops led by industry experts, entrepreneurs, and educators. These sessions will teach practical skills, like creating a business plan, marketing effectively, and understanding financial literacy.
Mentorship Programs: We’re connecting local business owners with our children entrepreneurs to provide guidance, share insights, and encourage creativity.
Community Partnerships: This event showcases the power of collaboration. Companies like Taevo Business Solutions and CC Patchworks LLC are stepping up to assist with planning, compliance, and administrative needs, ensuring the event runs smoothly.
Our Vision: A Platform for Success
The Children's Business Fair is about more than selling products—it's about teaching children the fundamentals of business and the value of solving problems for others. This aligns perfectly with the Acton Children's Business Fair's mission of supporting child entrepreneurs while also embracing HomeschoolED Heroes' commitment to education through experience.
By offering a mix of public school and homeschool participants the chance to shine, we’re fostering a space where every child, regardless of their background, can feel like a hero in their own right. A possible contest element might further encourage creativity and innovation!
Setting the Blueprint for Others
We also see this as an opportunity to set the blueprint for other organizations looking to create their own children's business fairs. By learning from our experience, other groups can avoid common challenges and replicate a successful event. With our framework in place, it will be easier for us to support these organizations on their first try, enabling more fairs to be held not only in a single city but also regionally. This expansion ensures that the impact of child entrepreneurship is felt far and wide.
Why Partnerships Matter
Events like this demonstrate the incredible impact of cooperation within the BIPOC homeschooling community and beyond. Together with Curriculum Agents LLC, we’re creating a sustainable framework for young entrepreneurs to thrive. Through this partnership and the support of community-minded organizations, HomeschoolED Heroes is fulfilling its goal of connecting experts, fostering collaboration, and creating opportunities that uplift the entire community.
